Update:

I did intend to go on Saturday, but due to a lot of frustrating circumstances I had to end up trying again somewhere else on the Sunday - but I was able to confess, and the priest gave me some great (and frighteningly accurate :p) advice. Whatever happens now, I’m certain things are going to get better in one way or another. 😃
