If you actually read my post, I am speaking of a “why?” “how is that so?” “what does that mean?” sense of questioning. I have seen many posters on here say it is the devil just because someone is asking “why” of something. Or even questioning contradictions, that is not the devil! Monica4316 was wondering what happens to unbaptized babies, and wondering about the Church’s change in opinion. You all seem to give the devil too much credit, I have never blamed any of my sins on him, or even the temptation to sin. Saying the devil tempted you, is a cop-out to me.
To me, at least, poor Monica sounded like she was having a little crisis of faith, asking questions which could, ultimately, lead her out of salvation if not checked. Monica’s interest was more than intellectual. And her questions about “her Guardian angel grieving” are most certainly a temptation.

You cannot blame your sins on the devil, that is poor theology, poor logic, and poor common sense. Temptation is another matter. We are constantly besieged by devils. They are very interested in our damnation, and they have a powerful array of spiritual weapons to help guide us to it. If you were a demon, would you leave yourself alone? It is not a cop-out to say a demon tempts us. It is an absolute necessity. When you have recognized your enemy, only then can you begin to resist him. St. Michael Archangel, aid us in this battle!! :knight2:
