I don’t need to read it. It’s about the time your firstborn turns 13. That’s when you become boring.

I’m 29, so I got a while. I just want to say I don’t find 35 year old women boring. I find them way more interesting than a 25 year old woman (no offense).

I can’t stop planning spontaneous vacations, though I manage to stop most of them from happening after thinking them over a day or so. Not all. Good to know this is ‘interesting.’ I feared it was irresponsible impulsiveness.

I actually do about half of these things, the rest never. I never stay up on weekdays until early hours. Don’t visit people unannounced (I hate it when it happens to me). Some of these things are just things twentysomethings do. Twentysomethings can get pretty boring, believe it or not. I thought that when I was one. Still do.

Overall, I think if you are consulting a fairly superficial popular culture magazine article as your guidance to being interesting - it’s not looking too good.

None taken. I was marginally less boring at 35 than I was at 25, so I think your observation rings true, at least in my case.

Staying out until the early hours on a weekday —Staying out, EXTROVERT THING!

Trying a new hobby—Introverts/Extroverts

Going out of the way to make a new friend—EXTROVERT

Booking a spontaneous holiday—EXTROVERT THING

Learning a new skill–Introvert/Extrovert

Visiting a friend unannounced—EXTROVERT THING (not to mention rude)

Changing jobs–Most people don’t have a choice to do this

Going on a spontaneous shopping trip–EXTROVERT THING

Asking someone out–EXTROVERT THING

Trying a new sport–EXTROVERT THING

7 out of 10 of these ONLY apply to Extroverts, one is out of control of 99% of people and 2 are things that would appeal to introverts. It’s highly biased towards the idea that introverts are boring and not worth being called interesting people. Which is a true shame.
Bollocks. You might not do those things but that doesn’t mean no introverts do.

Staying out until the early hours on a weekday — Depends on the why really. Even most extroverts won’t do this, no matter their age.
Trying a new hobby—Introverts/Extroverts
Going out of the way to make a new friend—EXTROVERT.
Booking a spontaneous holiday—EXTROVERT THING - Both. Introverts just do it alone or with 1 other person (typically significant other).
Learning a new skill–Introvert/Extrovert
Visiting a friend unannounced—EXTROVERT THING (not to mention rude) - I know plenty of extroverts who wouldn’t dream of doing this.
Changing jobs–Most people don’t have a choice to do this
Going on a spontaneous shopping trip–EXTROVERT THING - No. Both. Again, an introvert will just go alone or with 1 other person.
Asking someone out–EXTROVERT THING - No. Introverts might do it less often, but they do do it.
Trying a new sport–EXTROVERT THING. This really confuses me. Introverts don’t play sports? Since when? You do realise there are sports that don’t involve teams?
