I think bible study on any electronic device is good. The problem one might find on a cell phone is that the battery might lose power faster than any other device. And no juice left for your phone isn’t any good.

I have a iPod Touch, which is really good for such a thing. So I would imagine if one wanted a phone/PDA device, an iPhone or something similar would battery-wise be more suited for such use.

A Blackberry or Palm Treo would probably be a good choice as well. I would not try this on any phone that is not a “Smart Phone”, since it would probably run down the battery too quickly. I do not own a “Smart Phone”, so I will not attempt to download this software onto my phone. It probably uses a lot of memory too, so you would need to have a micro SD card.

I have had a Palm Treo and a BlackBerry. Both had internet access, so I just surfed on over to the NAB at USCCB. I never had any problem with battery time. When I used these PDAs to read the Bible at church, I would get the strangest looks. lol.

Now, I have a plain old cell phone, and no, I don’t read books or websites electronically on it. Without a qwerty keyboard it makes me INSANE.

But, I have my laptop and read the online NAB. I only use a printed Bible when I need a Bible, and can’t bring my Mac with me. I have my laptop for most of the day, and have the Bible at my fingertips.

Nothing like being on a 1 hour ride home and having the Bible in the Palm of your hand. Great way to spend your time.
