Does anybody know why the Holy Ghost appears in the bible as a dove? Why does the Holy Spirit appear as a flaming tongue to the apostles?

I’ll make a stab. I know the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit are the same. Different name same third person of the Blessed Trinity. I believe the Holy Ghost appears as a dove because this was Jesus Christ’s baptism. Although invisible the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) comes to each of us at our baptism. A dove is a symbol of purity, peace, love, and everything good. We become a child of God.
As with the Apostles in the upper room, at the Sacrament of Confirmation this same Holy Spirit comes as a burning tongue of fire to enkindle in our hearts the strength to face the world and spread the gospel with our tongues. Same Holy Spirit, but different symbolism for the role of the Sacrament.

Don’t forget the Transfiguration, where the Holy Spirit appeared as dazzling light.
