Hi ya’ll,

I was wondering if there are any Eastern Saints from all the Eastern Traditions that were of the minor orders of subdeacon and reader and were not ordained to the major orders. Thanks!

Holy Martyr & St Romulus, Subdeacon of the parish of Diospolis in Caesarea, a martyr in the time of Diocletian. His feast is observed as that of the “Holy Martyr Agapius and the Seven with him”

Holy Martyr & St Andeolus of Smyrna, subdeacon, sent to France by St Polycarp, martyred near Viviers on the Rhone River

Holy Martyr & St Martyrius of Constantinople, a subdeacon, martyred by Arians in 351

And, in modern times, hopefully soon to be raised to the altar, as they are already acclaimed by the people of their Church, the Servants of God Sub-deacons Basman Yousef Daud, Wahid Hanna Isho, and Gassan Isam Bidawed, martyred with Father Ragheed Ganni in 2007.

Not sure that I’ve ever seen icons depicting any of them and didn’t see any online in a quick search.
