Such Disrespect!

You can’t make this up! Just look at the disrespect given to Our Lord! He is plopped out of a dispenser like some candy, then people go over to the tray and take a small cup of the Precious Blood, drink it, then throw the cup out – not even purified, or anything. Just imagine how many crumbs of Our Lord are in that sacrileious machine, and those shot glasses. Disgusting. Just look

There’s no disrespect at all. That’s a Protestant church – those dispensers aren’t at all uncommon in Protestant churches.

The only disrespect I see is how willingly you assume the worst of your own Church.

I do not expect this of my own church! I did not know it was Protestant, someone else told me it was Catholic. That’s how I came across the video…sorry for the misconception. I truly thought it was Catholic…mea culpa.
 
Fair enough, no harm done. I don’t know whether you read Spanish, but obviously the person who posted it wants you to think it was a Catholic church – and maybe they really thought it was. But check out the company’s website, and wait for the main picture to cycle around to the closeup of the minister holding the dispenser. You’ll clearly see the wedding ring on his left ring finger. (It’s the same minister from this video, which is further down on their homepage.)

i too until recently never thought that some Protestant sects would have a similar form of Communion that we Catholics have

i went to a site that were seling religious items. then i saw this sort of communion tray where it was basically a tray with cover, and inside were little glass or plastic cups to hold wine. the first two thoughts i have were “thats a great idea for those who are concious about spreading germs through saliva on the cup” and “i didn’t know you can distribute the Precious Blood this way.” of course, after further reading and research, i learned it was for a Protestant Communion Service.

i’m now wondering if the Communalabra Germ-Free Communion Host Dispensing System (Trademarked, Patent Pending :D) is acceptable to some or all Protestant denominations

finally saw the video

that is indeed very casual. take the bread with one hand, then as you pass by grab a small up of grape juice to wash it down. this reminds me more of those food sample tables at COSTCO than Communion

any idea which denomination this is?
 
I couldn’t believe my eyes at first but then I realised that it was a service of a protestant ecclesiastical community!

This is one of the reasons I love the EF Mass. The EF Mass is unique and does not resemble any of the protestant services. The OF Mass, while being perfectly valid and beautiful, resembles protestant worship in many ways; this is why I initially thought this was a video of a sacrilegious Catholic OF Mass.

The worship using the Sarum rite, which is an ancient variation of the Roman (EF Mass) rite. The two masses originate from the same source. For this reason, I would class the Sarum rite as a Catholic rite celebrated by protestants. In fact, these protestants don’t even refer to themselves as protestant; they call themselves Anglo-Catholics; Catholics not in communion with Rome.

No, no one currently uses the Sarum Rite. And although some Anglicans call themselves Catholics, they are not. They’re just mistaken. Their orders and apostolic succession are void.

Easy mistake to make if you’re not used to Protestant services.

That said I was never comfortable participating in Protestant communion, I just couldn’t get the point no matter how many times it was differently explained to me.
 
Mmmmmm I read the entire company news and it’s clear, that this WAS NOT a Protestant practice. **The Arch diocese in Vermont **declared that this system of communion would be used during cold and flu system. It doesn’t seem to be optional. Some members of the parish welcomed it, others did not.

I’m not Catholic so I don’t have an opinion one way or another, but in my own church we do not use communal cups EVER.
 
Well if CITH by laypeople is allowed, why not CITH by dispenser?
