I just got the news that my Uncle, who is a Baptized Catholic but non-practicing, died suddenly last night. His son who has been looking after him (and would know his wishes if any) said his body will be cremated and there will be a family memorial for him in the summer. What, if anything, could I offer to my cousin to help him do the very best possible spiritually for my Uncle under these circumstances? Any suggested resources to pass on to him? Thanks so much!

Dear friend,

You can pray for him. Certainly, you ought to have Mass or Masses offered for the repose of his soul. Make praying for him a regular part of your daily prayers.
