A Prayer Against Depression

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

I very much appreciate your continued prayers. I’m currently trying to take everything one day at a time so I can hopefully bring down my anxiety levels and control my depression. I read this quote from St. Faustina recently and it really got to me today for some reason so I thought I would share it and maybe it can help someone else:

"I desire to love You more than anyone has ever loved You before. And in spite of my wretchedness and littleness,** I have my trust deeply anchored in the abyss of Your mercy**, my God and my creator! In spite of my great wretchedness, I am not afraid of anything, but I maintain the hope of singing my song of praise forever. Let no soul doubt, even the most pitiful, so long as they are still alive, that they can become a great saint. For great is the power of God’s grace."
