Now I am told by management that I’m not having the full time contract they gave me and are bumping me back down to 20.

Also toxic staff have been saying stuff and now I have a capability meeting on Wednesday which could end up as a disciplinary.

Why do I always have to suffer?

I will say a prayer for you. We are also suffering with situations involving a daughter.

I don’t have an answer to your question. But I will offer my suffering for your good.

There is always suffering. It’s not just you. It’s best not to dwell on it. With God’s grace, put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.

I pray that the Lord would put His shield around you and protect you from all these flying arrows which seem to be aimed at you.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5&6)

Praying for you, Nelka.

I will pray my Divine Mercy chaplet for you and your job.

God always listens to your prayers. He does not condemn you for your sins. You can go to confession and be free of mortal sin. He loves you very much.

God always listens. If it’s Gods will then He will answer prayers in His own time.

Hey @Nelka, this time take it easy. Load the entire ordeal off your shoulders. Be at peace. Focus only on humility and meekness, come what may it will be alright. Don’t be troubled.

I have found the particular case of “toxic staff” either means that is not the place for you, OR you are being given a big lesson in how to be a Christian amidst the wicked. Don’t ruminate on the events and be assured of their wickedness; don’t blame yourself for everything because they are surely doing “the wickets stuff” in objectively gathering to be wicked. Still, remember meekness because Our Lord has all the power not them. So, in the meanwhile trust in Our Lord regardless of your sins and take this not only as punishment or justice but also as an example of how to grow in sanctity and perhaps even more in wisdom.

God bless.

What will happen next? I’ve just been in a car crash at work, the other car’s fault, luckily there was congestion so I was only doing 20mph instead of 30. Got pains but nothing major. I was jealous of the other man whose family appeared quickly and yet my wife is angry at me about wednesday. I guess it would have been better to die in that crash but I woukd be in hell so maybe not.

Work have sent me home just protocol but don’t want to go so just wandering the streets.

Disabled people with me are fine which is the main thing.

You suffer because that is how we follow Christ. You suffer because very soon, great will be your reward in heaven. We can rant and rave and vent and nothing gets better. That energy can be converted/diverted into increased devotion and love of God - who knows full well what you are enduring and why.

Why not try with all of your might to shift your focus from suffering to its reward? Know that each pain, physical, mental or spiritual, can be immediately offered for someone else - either those you know, or complete strangers on the other side of the world. Especially for those who persecute you.

It is good, always and everywhere, to focus on the passion of our Lord. His suffering only increased exponentially - until He finally stumbled to His throne.
Tobit 12:13 “Because you were acceptable to God, it was necessary that testing would show your worth.”

John 16:33 “In this world, you will have tribulation, but take hearts, for I have overcome this world.”

When I suffered badly from depression several years ago I felt better just going to see the doctor. The physician can play a role in helping us deal with suffering.

A LITTLE BOOK OF ETERNAL WISDOM
Blessed Henry Suso (1295 - 1366) Dominican and German mystic

Suffering is an extinguisher of My wrath, and an obtainer of My favour. Suffering makes a man in My sight worthy of love, for the sufferer is like Me. Suffering is a hidden treasure which no one can make good; and though a man might kneel before Me a hundred years to beg a friendly suffering, he nevertheless would not earn it. Suffering changes an earthly man into a heavenly man. Suffering brings with it the estrangement of the world, but confers, instead, My intimate familiarity. It lessens delight and increases grace.

He to whom I am to show Myself a friend, must be wholly disclaimed and abandoned by the world. Suffering is the surest way, the nearest way, and the shortest way. He who rightly knows how profitable suffering is, ought to receive it as a gift worthy of God. Oh, how many a man there is who once was a child of eternal death, and plunged in the profoundest sleep, whom suffering has wakened up and encouraged to a good life.

How many a wild beast, how many an untamed bird, there is in human form, whom constant suffering has shut up, as it were, in a cage, who, if any one were to leave him time and place free, would do his best to escape from his salvation. Suffering is a safeguard against grievous falls; it makes a man know himself, rely on himself, and have faith in his neighbour. Suffering keeps the soul humble and teaches patience. It is the guardian of purity, and confers the crown of eternal salvation.

May I add my voice as well to the chorus of others on this thread pleading with the OP to seek help. His primary care physician can give him a referral to a therapist who can help him. His thoughts of suicide make it urgent that he address this at once. A call to a suicide hotline would be good in a pinch, should he find it impossible to see a therapist within the next few days.
