I was raised Southern Baptist and didn’t find Rome Sweet Home foreign at all. Were there differences between my experiences and his? Of course. But that doesn’t mean that I couldn’t understand it.

That that a Baptist or other evangelical would not understand, but, the theology is different between Baptist and Presbyterian.

For example, a Presbyterian is not going to have the same aversion to infant baptism that a Baptist will have. Same goes for baptism via pouring instead of immersion.

The difference between Presbyterian Sacraments and Baptist ordinances is significant.

Could go on and on, but, the theology of a Southern Baptist and the theology of a Presbyterian are going to be very different.

Yeah, I didn’t think Baptist were classified as Protestants as they don’t trace themselves to the reformation split. I looked it up and they are; but, it remains a very different point of reference.

I was raised Southern Baptist so I understand pretty well that Baptist theology and Presbyterian theology are different. And yet Rome Sweet Home was instrumental in my conversion. I didn’t find it foreign at all.
