The Ladder of Divine Ascent by St. John Climacus is read by Eastern Christians of the Byzantine tradition in most monasteries and by many clergy and laity outside of monasteries during the Great Fast.

The Eparchy of St. Josaphat has a suggested schedule of the reading cycle of this wonderful classic:

Thanks, timely post. My copy of The Ladder should be here any day so I have a little catching up to do.🙂
 
I have a copy, but mine is not put into Chapter and Verse. It only has Chapters or Rungs. I have to read each Chapter at a time or just stop every few paragraphs to meditate on what I had just read.
 
Which edition of the Ladder is this keyed to?

Could it be the edition published by Holy Trinity Monastery?
 
Yes, and not the Classics of Western Spirituality edition. Since I own the latter, I make an approximate paragraph break.
