Suggestions for a Catholic to give Anglican friend

I wonder if J.R.R. Tolkein (a Catholic) and C.S. Lewis (an Anglican), had this dynamic in their friendship, with one trying to convince they other that they each belonged to the One True Church.

Maybe just give your friend The Lord of the Rings series along with* Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra,* and That Hideous Strength. As an Anglican-Catholic-gone-Roman -Catholic, I would have appreciated the gag gift!

Screwtape Letter if he doesn’t have it. Not that it will convert him (it’s CS Lewis for crying out loud), but actually helps with dealing with one’s sin. That being said, most people have not touched the Space Triology.

If you insist on conversion, Surprise By Truth series seems good.
