God the Father, we lift up to You all those people who are in great despair. Have pity on them, O Lord, and send Your angels to comfort, guide and protect them from the evil one’s lies. Be with them in their darkest hour, and remind them of Your tender care and compassion. Some are mentally ill, some are driven by a chemical imbalance, and some just don’t see another way out of the hole they are in. Break through to them, O God, and give them peace and a sense of purpose. May they have a little corner tucked away somewhere inside for hope. I beg You for these favors on behalf of the merits of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of Your Son who suffered the agony in the garden so that He could fulfill Your will.

For Suicidal Thoughts

O Lord! You know my heart! I am so oppressed on all sides that I quite often want to end my life! Life has become hopeless and I see no way out. Lord Your word says that my body is Your temple and as such I have no authority over my life and body. Yet Lord I am unable to resist this suicidal tendency. Strengthen my heart and remove all suicidal thought and any attempts I have made to take my own life. I acknowledge that satan is a thief and comes to steal, kill and destroy. I now choose You Lord Jesus, as my Master who came to give me life and give it abundantly.I renounce all my harmful thoughts and I crave Your forgiveness for nursing such thoughts. Thank You for Your forgiveness that allows me to forgive myself. I believe that my times are in Your precious hands and that there is always hope in Christ. Prayer for a Suicidal Person

Lord, I come before You with a heavy heart. I feel so much and yet sometimes I feel nothing at all. I don’t know where to turn, who to talk to, or how to deal with the things going on in my life. You see everything, Lord. You know everything, Lord. Yet when I seek you it is so hard to feel You here with me. Lord, help me through this. I don’t see any other way to get out of this. There is no light at the end of my tunnel, yet everyone says You can show it to me. Lord, help me find that light. Let it be Your light. Give me someone to help. Let me feel You with me. Lord, let me see what You provide and see an alternative to taking my life. Let me feel Your blessings and comfort. Amen.
