For Suicidal Thoughts

O Lord! You know my heart! I am so oppressed on all sides that I quite often want to end my life! Life has become hopeless and I see no way out. Lord Your word says that my body is Your temple and as such I have no authority over my life and body. Yet Lord I am unable to resist this suicidal tendency. Strengthen my heart and remove all suicidal though and any attempts I have made to take my own life. I acknowledge that satan is a thief and comes to steal, kill and destroy. I now choose You Lord Jesus, as my Master who came to give me life and give it abundantly.I renounce all my harmful thoughts and I crave Your forgiveness for nursing such thoughts. Thank You for Your forgiveness that allows me to forgive myself. I believe that my times are in Your precious hands and that there is always hope in Christ. Thank You Lord for taking over my soul, my body and my life. In Jesus Name I pray.Amen.

Prayer Rebuking the Spirit of Depression and Suicide

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints and Angels of Heaven, and powerful in the holy authority of His name, I ask of the heavenly Father to rebuke this spirit of depression and to command it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to depart from me, now, quietly, without harm to anyone.

I bring the power and the protection of the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ over my life. Satan has no part with me as I am sealed with the saving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, forgive me for not being all I should be in Your eyes. Let the cleansing, healing waters of my baptism wash over me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Lord Jesus Christ, fill me with Your joy to replace the depression.

Lord Jesus, bring to bear my guardian angel, and all the angels of heaven, against the forces of evil that seek to cause trouble for me.

Saint Michael, be my protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and my Mother, pray for me that I may not fall into the devil’s temptations.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for setting me free. I praise You, I bless You, I worship You. Thank You for the wisdom and light of the Holy Spirit.

Thank You for enabling me to be aggressive against the works of the enemy. Thank You for Your hope that takes away discouragement; thank You for ongoing victory. “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom. 8:37). Amen.

Prayer to Put on The Armor of God

"I put on God’s armor so as to be able to resist the devil’s tactics.” I stand my ground “with truth buckled around my waist and integrity for a breastplate…” I carry the “shield of faith” to “put out the burning arrows of the evil one …” I accept “salvation from God to be my helmet and receive the word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword” (Eph. 6:10, 11, 14, 16, 17 NAS)

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Suicidal and depressed people in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,

Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,

O ever immaculate Virgin, Mother of mercy, health of the sick, refuge of sinners, comfort of the afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings; deign to cast upon me a look of mercy. By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence, to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests.
