A friend recently told me that he is determined to commit suicide. He lives in Texas, and I don’t have any real way to check on him or even contact him. Several of my friends and I have e-mailed him, offering to help, but I don’t know whether he will take us up on it. Please pray for him that he will choose life. It’s really all that I can do, at this point.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, oh prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. O Holy Spirit , Thank You for touching this man’s Soul and Body. Thank You for pulling him back from that awful Brink . To God our Father’s Wonderful Joy and Glory ! Thank You Jesus . :signofcross:

Encourage him to speak to a counselor, as well. Many health insurances will cover a few visits to a psychologist.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give your friend strength & fortitude of faith not to despair.

If you know his name and address, you can contact emergency services in his jurisdiction.

I do this often for people I don’t know who write suicide notes online who I am able to trace via IP address.

Praying for him. In addition to the wonderful advice you have received maybe you can have a Mass said for him under Special Intention.
 
Lord, have mercy on Ne_OrangeKnight’s friend, please grant this soul many graces and angelic help in the face of every challenge. Permit this soul the fullness of your choicest blessings in keeping with your Holy Will. Shine your divine light into this darkened pilgrimage, that this soul be emboldened by the warmth of your radiance and strive for holy obedience, now, unto the eternal garden of joy.
