Life in the ‘hood…Neighbors put a big down payment on a rent-to-own home and paid monthly rent to include utilities…Only the property agent pocketed the dough and split–legal action pending if they can find her. So electricity was turned off for $1000 back payment owed and of course no home. Dad, a working injured vet (defective parachute made for a hard landing), got behind on child support from previous marriage; will be in jail for a month as no $450 bailout; may lose job. Now Mom tells me she is suicidal…Not a good thing w/18-month-old daughter and 10 year old whose birthday was this weekend and Mom couldn’t get her anything…House is being run on generator when they can afford the gas. This dear non-Catholic lady went to Mass with me today. BTW she is childhood sexual assault victim, something which I believe feeds her despair. Am helping them out as much as humanly possible so pray for miracles for her and her jailed hubby. Please continue to pray for me to keep physically and financially fit to help as got rear-ended and am hurtin’ for certain. Also pray for kid who hit me as he ran away from home RE: crazy mom. “In all things give thanks.” God bless you all!

Lord, please send your Holy Spirit to this couple to comfort and strengthen them. Please help Nordskoven to keep physically and financially well enough to assist them. May this couple have faith in you and persevere without giving into despair. May this couple have the courage and patience they need to cope with this tragedy, and may they draw great strength from receiving you in the sacraments. May the husband be able to receive you in the sacraments while locked up so he can have the strength and graces he needs to be well. Help this couple, Lord, and fill them them with the Holy Spirit to heal and comfort them. Bless Nordskoven for all the good he does and for his giving thanks to you in all circumstances. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.
