Hi all,

I need prayers for suicidal thoughts. They’ve become more serious as of late. About the only thing that has helped is leaving my already stressed out wife with four kids…

Psych dr has been very helpful, but the thoughts keep coming back, though not as serious this last time.

I’m a deputy sheriff, and already had to turn in my gun so the loss of income is of course a concern.

I took a walk tonight and broke down on the road crying:( I just don’t know what to do in life anymore…

Thanks,

Andy

Yes I’m here. Do need to talk to me about suicidal thoughts?

St. Dymphna, you lived your life expressing sexual purity and a tremendous compassion on those suffering mental anxieties. I ask that you may intercede for Andy. That he may sense the presence and love of God in his life, that his soul may experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. I ask that Andy may be strenghened and enabled to fulfill his vocation and life of service to you and his loved ones. I ask that he may be healed and able to function in a way that will enable him to provide for his families needs. May his wife and children be shielded by love and compassion and may the whole family be brought together in a closer and more unified way through the resolution of these trials. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

**I will pray for you!! **
And Andy, God is with you in your distress. He can easily pick up the pieces and help you start over. Every time; you are guaranteed a new start in life. May He guide and keep you.

Dear Andy,

PLEASE for YOURSELF–

Check and see if there is not an underlying medical condition. Diabetes, for example, can make depression much worse–and vice versa, of course.

Clinical depression is in itself a physical disease. It is a CHEMICAL IMBALANCE, much like diabetes and gout (all of which I have). It is NOT a moral failure or spiritual problem.

Pray to St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, a wonderworking Russian bishop and spiritual writer, who suffered from what was called “involuntional melancholia” in the 19th century–clinical depression, in other words.

You might also be taking certain prescribed or even over-the-counter meds that are causing your depression or exacerbating it.

Remember: clinical depression is NOT a sin, though what you do you about it may be a sin. It’s a treatable medical condition.

There ARE remedies. God works through them!

Andy, it sounds really tough and I will keep you in my prayers, in hope and prayer that given some recovery time, you will get a new start with your life.
God bless you and your family.
Warm regards, Trishie

Please continue to pray for this Andy but this thread is closed as counseling continues offline.

God bless you all.
