Dear Felicity:
Please know that you are not alone. As I read your post I read my own autobiography. I know exactly what you are feeling because you described my own feelings as if you were reading my mind. I am praying for you and I hope you will pray for me as well.

I know that you have been reading scripture, that is the best thing to do. Read Colossians 1:24. Paul talks about filling up in his own flesh the suffering that is lacking in Christ’s. Now we know that Christ’s suffering lacks nothing except our willingness to join our own suffering to his. That is the truest test of our love of Christ, that we are willing to endure our own suffering for Him. Join your pain to Jesus’ on the cross. Offer your suffering to God just as Jesus did His own. No matter how painful, no matter how heavy the cross, carry it for Him. Your reward in heaven will be great. God will never abandon those who love Him. This is His promise and His word is TRUTH. I know it is hard when the cross is so heavy but remember that without Good Friday this is no Easter Sunday. This is our Good Friday. Don’t lose heart and don’t lose hope. Your Easter Sunday is not far away.
May the Peace of Jesus Christ descend upon you and remain with you forever.

If you have that, you’re lucky. My school charges. I went last spring, and the most they’d do is give me a discount. I think it was $40/session, but I can’t remember now if that’s the discount or the original.

Am joining with prayer for Felicity who has not posted since February. Felicity, I sure hope with all my heart that you received help are, at the very least, all right. Praying hard. . . . Lord, our God, you graciously chose St. Dymphna as patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray. Help Felicity overcome her depression and suicidal thoughts.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will. Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.
