Suma Ching Hai -- a cult

Have you ever heard of this group. I think it is more like a cult. Nowadays, there are Christians following this lady who claims to be reincarnation of Jesus and Buddha :eek:

I have a co-worker who quit going to Catholic church and joins this group. Whenever somebody asks her what religion she is, she says she’s Catholic. :rolleyes: and that Ching Hai stuff is just for meditation.

It is more than just meditation.

Anybody gets more information about this group?
 
It is a cult. Remember any teaching without acknowledging only Jesus is Lord, is cult. We need not pay attention to any such things. What we must pay attention is not being confused by some part of their seemingly good stuff such as “to love”, “to refrain from immorality”, etc… Keep in mind devil often pretends to be an angel. Actually Satan was fallen angel. Wolf often puts on a sheep skin.

Lot of New Age stuff talks about “God”, “love”, “charity” also.
We must not get confused. Let’s concentrate on Catholic teachings and fix our eyes on our Lord Jesus. God bless!

yes, I am praying for the co-worker and will probably talk to her about what she is into. She is a very good person but I believe she is brainwashed. I pray that I will know when will be the best time to talk with her about this.
 
What your co-worker getting into is very dangerous.
She is opening a door to evil spirits. Satan is looking for souls to devour all the time. One has to be very careful. Even by allowing one’s palm to be read for fun could get a person into deep trouble. Imagining what trouble one can invite in by accepting training under a cult’s teaching! This is very serious.
 
Ching Hai is a crazy lady. Her speech sounds very uneducated and her people are all blinded. Alot of Asians are deeply into her. Some have sold all their belongings and donated to her group.
 
yeah of course she is a cult but a good cult. she asked her disciples do not lie, do not drink, do not steal, do not eat meat, do not drink wine. She asked no money to join her association and do not curse the Master because some of the actions of the disciples.

Let me ask you? What do you know about the Master? Jesus Christ was killed when he was alive and his messages were missed by many of his time.

Could you also miss her messages?

Actions speak louder than words…

Please stop eating meat. Look at the cows, the pigs and chickens… etc. do you see how suffering they are? do you see how anguish they are before they got killed?

So whether or not Suma Ching Hai is a cult leader she teaches her disciple to have compassion. Compassion is the gauge into your own heart … it can’t be wrong when a teacher teaches no kill, no harms to any being.

How are you defining cult?

According to the Ching Hai site:
Master Ching Hai…teaches a method that can be practiced by everyone, by themselves, without props or paraphernalia of any kind. She is not looking for followers, worshippers, or disciples, or to establishing an organization with a dues paying membership. She will not accept money, prostrations, or gifts from you, so you do not need to offer these to Her.

In reply to this above quoted mis-understood statement. Any authentic living Master dead or alive can be the reincarnation of Jesus and Buddha as they are only speaking of the CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS and not of the Jesus as a man and/or Buddha as a man.

Jesus has said: Whatever that I can do you can do better. or If you believe that you can move the mountain you can.

Let me ask you this question: Does the body that move the mountain or your faith in God that does it?

Jesus never took credit for anything that he did and always credited to his FATHER.

He also said “I am the light and the way and whoever follows me shall be enter the kingdom of God”. He meant we must be like him – we don’t just read the bible and proclaim that we understand God. God is not for you to understand – He is for you to become.

In Sankrit the word Buddha means The enlightened one and similar to the word Christ, it means the enlightened one.

Therefore if the Supreme Master Suma Chinghai enables her disciples to see the light and to hear the inner sound at the initiation, doesn’t it make her the enlightened one?

So if you want to say whether or not she is Christ or Buddha you first must find out if it is in fact her disciples see the light and hear the sound from the initiation, If in fact, it is then you must admit she is also the enlightened one and therefore she could be the reincarnation of Jesus or Buddha or any other living or dead Enlightened Masters from any other faith.

It’s only my 2 cents again.

The bolded things aren’t evil, they are good. It is only when you become gluttonous and drunk that it is evil. Moderation, moderation, moderation. If we disallowed everything that could potentionally cause evil, we’d be left with nothing, because every good thing can be used for evil. Like I said, it’s all about moderation when it comes to eating and drinking.

So this cult sounds like the usual “trust your feelings” and “misinformation is the best information” cult.

1- If it is not God than evil …then what are we? suddenly we are not God then we must be evil yes?

2- I am an animal lover and you can call me activist all you want but to kill the innocent sentient beings who have feelings, faces, and emotions like us is at best no child of God. If you don’t kill dogs and cats for food why do you choose to kill cows, pigs, chickens?

When was the last time you visited an animal farm? if you do you will have no stomach to eat them as they cry and in anguish.

In brief, time is short and the planet is dying.
1 serving of beef requires 1200 gals of water while 1 serving of rice+tofu+vegetable is 90 gallons. Eating meat depletes earth resources not to mention animal cruelties.

Whether or not Supreme Master Suma Ching Hai is a cult and a devil but she requests that her disciples DO NOT KILL for food …, she is more noble of a human being than all of us.
