Sounds good to me. My biggest reliance on wi fi (or any kind of Internet) is to be in contact with my daughters, so, as long as they were with me, no problem.
Hope he doesn’t spend too much time trying to figure out the impossible rather than enjoying the state park!!
Hard? Probably no more than anywhere else in most respects. I’d more likely say lonely, in that, from what I see most of the Catholics at church are families, or singles much younger than I am and also from a completely different part of the world, so there is a language and cultural divide - although our Mass is said in English.
But, I have no real comparison, since when I arrived here I was Anglican; so I have no real idea what it is like to be a Catholic in a predominantly Christian country. When I am home for the few precious months each year, I am on the farm with my Portuguese-Catholic-family-by-marriage, which is not where I was living before I came out here. So my life has changed so much since August 2007 in so many respects.
