That came fast…

Just realised now many churches and cathedrals have internet mass… I can do a tour… All from my bed too…

Please post some of your favorite links.
Not sure if you can access these from there…but this is the main page…
I am in Ireland and get UK and Irish sites.

mcnmedia.tv/

Some are online all the time;see the headers for churches and cathedrals. Others just for Mass etc.

Yes, but they don’t fulfill our obligation.
True enough, although one might argue that if a Papal Blessing is viewed electronically (live, not recorded) is considered efficacious, that perhaps viewing a live mass might.

Not an opinion, just a thought for further discussion…please don’t beat me with the Catechism or Code of Canon Law.😉

They do if you are sick abed or housebound and have no other way of mass. that is why they and eg TV mass are there

But then we each see this from our viewpoint… which is fine

I’ve long understood that if one is sick abed or housebound there is no obligation to attend Sunday Mass.

I enjoy watching the Mass online or on TV from time to time and I’m glad it exists, but it doesn’t fulfill the Sunday obligation of those too ill and/or infirm to attend Mass in person because these souls have no such obligation in the first place, due to their condition(s). Or so I thought…? :hmmm:

For the ill or housebound, they are under no obligation. In fact we have a ministry in my parish which delivers communion to those who are housebound.
