Just some reflections for you all:

Today at Mass, be sure to pray a Hail Mary for the Priest when he goes to give his Homily. This always helps!

Visit Jesus in the Tabernacle before and/or after the Mass. You can spend an hour with him, can’t you?

Don’t forget to grab a donut and coffee after the Eucharistic celebration. And be sure to offer the food and drink to Jesus.

Praying the Rosary before the Most Blessed Sacrament is always a good thing. Mary, pray for us sinners!

But a question. Where’d you get the idea of the donut and coffee offering to Our Lord? I wouldn’t have thought of offering it to Him - but when I’m really thirsty and am finally able to quench that thirst, I sometimes remember to ask Our Lord to quench the flames on the souls in Purgatory as I’m being quenched with my drink.

I don’t know if this practice is in accordance to Church law, I admit, but, I do it when I eat and drink, because I want to console the Son on the Cross. If I learn, however, that this practice is not in accordance to Church law, I will cease doing it. Obedience is better than devotion. :yup:

Dear Nickname -
I just do that in hopes that God will accept it for the Poor Souls. Prayer comes in so many forms…not just the words we’re taught. Offering things up, for instance, as you so well pointed out. What I mentioned that I do, however, is not from a book but rather just a personal offering. I know God will accept it…and the Poor Souls need remembrance.

Good suggestion. I’ll try to remember to pray a Hail Mary for the priest giving homily.

At our parish, I saw this family of 2 kids always staying after Sunday mass to pray the rosary together. I and my g/f are following their example.
