This is not about a disagreement.

There is no such thing as agreeing or disagreeing on this particular question.

Your claim that the Easter Vigil Mass does not fulfill the obligation to attend Mass on Easter Sunday is simply wrong.

Not true.

The same Code of Canon Law applies to both Europe and the Americas, and for that matter everywhere else.

In fact, the other priest who also tried (and I think just got tired of responding) to explain things to you is himself a European.

In fact, given his own attitude about Americans, I find the idea that you would think of his posts as being “American arrogance” quite hilarious. In truth, I’m literally laughing out loud as I’m typing here.

Where in your version of Catholicism does it say its just fine to call others names?

Did you know that St John Vianney counseled people never to disrespect or assume they could “correct” a priest?

You might post more prudently, if at all. You’re not helping anyone.

He is a priest. He and another priest have explained that the Saturday Vigil Mass fulfils your Sunday Mass obligation. They’ve pointed out that this is what the Catechism teaches, too.

You have asserted that they are wrong. You’ve posted links that “show” that you’re right, but in fact, the links say the opposite - that the priests and the catechism are right. You’ve claimed that people here have said you aren’t allowed to attend Mass both days, when they’ve said nothing of the sort.

Who’s misleading who here?

No, we in Europe are not required to attend both days, as a previous poster quite rightly says. . I am in Europe - the UK - and we are not obliged to. In fact, my parish priest agreed with me when I said I was giving myself ‘time off’, as I was so tired from working in the sacristy. getting everything ready for Easter.
 
He’s trolling. He got a break last week from a kind moderator who simply deleted his thread and argumentative and insulting posts. He was caught in a lie last night (claiming several times he had a PhD when other posts state he’s a 20 year-old college student). Claiming
" American arrogance" when he lives in the US and trying to make it look like he resides in Europe. Now he’s backed into a corner with his lies and is trying to play “big man” and “take us” (using a phrase from his argumentative thread last week). No go, little boy. If you are truly a practicing Catholic, get yourself to confession. If not, get some psychiatric help.
 
I am from Europe and now live in the states. Like thousands of others. Try and think before making such a foolish reply.
 
Let’s try some reading comprehension. Just because I’m in america does not make me American. I’m here as a student. I am a polish citizen. And yes in Europe we go both days
