My mother works the night shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the hospital so she usually goes to a Mass right after she leaves work in the morning on Sunday, at a Church near her workplace. The family usually goes in the afternoon. This weekend it’s just me and my mom though, and I don’t have a driver’s license. My mom will be able to go to Mass, but by the time she gets home she’ll need to sleep, as she’s been working for quite some time.
I understand that it isn’t a sin to miss Mass if you have no means of getting there, which I seem to, but should I do more? We know a couple who lives by the Church, I think I could call them, but then they’d have to drive all the way to my house and back to Church. And again, really, if they’re to take me back home. Am I obligated to call and ask them though? We aren’t really close, my mother visits them occasionally but that’s about it.
