I have attended Mass at churches I do not belong to when I have family or work obligations preventing me from attending at the time & place I prefer. I have attended Mass when I am traveling and have some form of transport to attend.

No one gives me a bad look if I attend Mass in a different parish, and I am visiting in the area for any reason.

Many places I’ve traveled to, and attended Mass, the priest may say something like welcome to any visitors especially in areas that are popular with tourists.

You would be surprised how quickly the Orthodox would inculturate when they set up parishes in other lands with a different culture.

Seriously though, that was mostly an example, perhaps not the best one.

Our personal preferences do not supersede the authority of the Church. How come when one wants to change something about the Mass we tell them, “the Mass is not about you.” But when we don’t like something about the Mass, licit or not, then suddenly the Mass is about us. “I don’t like the songs,” etc.

Actually, if you miss 3 Sunday Liturgies in a row without good reason, you will be excommunicated from the Orthodox Church.

No. Excommunications can be instant even without a witness. Are there priests in every abortion clinic to find out if the woman getting an abortion is Catholic? But if she is, she gets excommunicated nonetheless.

Excommunication simply means loss of communion. Its similar to what the West would define as Mortal Sin. It is a belief in the East that if you stopped attending Liturgy without a valid reason, then you have fallen away from the faith.
