Merry Christmas!

I am scheduled to work next Sunday (I did request it to make overtime pay). Am I excused from my Sunday obligation?

Go to Mass Saturday evening, early Sunday before work, or Sunday evening after work.

Merry Christmas!

ask your own priest, or use your own prudential judgment, and take time to find out if Mass is offered anywhere else at any time outside your work schedule.

wow thanks for the quick reply! I should’ve been clearer I am flying that night (so no Mass) and the “last chance” Mass isn’t offered this season.

There is a Spanish Mass though: I’ll go to that.

the language or location has nothing to do with it, if it is possible to get there, yes you should go to any Mass that is available.

I don’t want to sound critical, but you shouldn’t request overtime when it will interfer with your Sunday hour with our Lord.
