Does anyone have a Sunday routine?

For me, living in NYC makes it freely accessible to enjoy a wide array of Spirit-filled Sunday worship and learning activities.

Sundays, I begin with Matins, followed by a Forum, High Mass at 11ish, lunch after, and back for Evensong at around 5, and I conclude the day by going to a candlelit Compline at 8pm. Saturdays, I go to Noonday prayer and Mass at 12, followed by lunch, recreation, and Evensong/Mass at 5.
 
There are good things about living in the big city, or in any cathedral city.
 
Goodness me, I thought I did a lot!

I start my “Sunday” Saturday night with a 6pm vigil Mass at which I cantor. I then go to church for the first Mass at 9:30 on Sunday morning, that finishes about 10:45 giving me half an hour to get ready for the second (Ordinariate Usage) Mass which I serve for at 11:15. That finishes about 12:30, clear away and have a cup of tea, leave a little after 1.

What I do after that varies. First Sunday of the month there is a Syro-Malabar Qurbana at 3pm. This month I attended and I plan to go back. Third Sunday of the month there is a TLM at another parish at 6pm, so maybe come home for a bit and then out for that, maybe get there early and say a Rosary. Last Sunday of the month (this Sunday) we have no 11:15 Mass, instead Evensong at 4:30pm. The other two Sundays I usually have the afternoon/evening off.

Are you Catholic or Anglican? Anyhow, those are all beautiful services to attend.

Better off churches do it weekly, and the church I attend has the exposition and benediction of the Blessed sacrament afterwards
 
You can also find Evensong at an Ordinariate parish, though generally not every week.
 
Who’s trolling?

If every Roman parish had a choir, solemn high mass, and solemn choral Vespers, the church would be better off.

What a wonderful day filled with worship!

Thank you for sharing how you spend your Sunday.

After Mass on Sunday, I am typically taking care of my children and spending some time with catechism lessons with the older ones and getting my plans ready for the week ahead of homeschooling. But I have often wondered what it might be like to be able to spend the day in prayer. Sounds like a contemplative life in the city. 👍
