Finally had First Communion for the kids and looked on social media for others pictures of it, and saw where their teacher said several things seemingly agreeing with RBG.
-‘RIP, your honor’ (cry emoji)
-paraphrasing, “‘Learn to speak to others so you can come together even when you disagree.’ -RBG”
There is absolutely nothing in her background that would indicate the remotest chance of a personal/family connection (she isn’t a lawyer etc). Her parents may have been immigrants, so there could be something that RBG ruled on that helped them (just a wild guess, no idea).
She typically has posts quoting Saints, always seemed like a good teacher and was a great fit for 2nd graders about to take first Communion.
As far as I know she was an advocate for ‘womens rights’(the quotes are a wink toward abortion)see note, I have yet to hear of anyone, Left or Right, talk about anything else really. I get that she may have broken some barriers 50 years ago, though I would claim that good was overshadowed by the above mentioned issue.
Is there anything redeemable about RBG? Other than being a pro-choice Catholic is there anything that teacher could plausible be getting at?
edit-I know I could just ask her and it may come to that, but just wanting to get some idea of what to be prepared for.
note I was trying to be sarcastic, but you can scratch that previous line and replace with ‘known as an abortionist’
