Do you think God cares about sunglasses? No! Being there is the most important thing.
 
I will say this, many years ago, I went to church to learn to be a altar boy. About 12 of us were there. One kid, who was tough ( but his mother was tougher) was there with us. He had sunglasses on. The Priest confronted him…I still remember their names lol - and the boy left the church. He later worked for the town, picking up garbage, in his twenties. Not sure if he stayed with that job.

Well, a few years ago, looking through a church bulletin, they had a photo of recently ordained ‘altar servers’, with a caption “ let’s us welcome our new helpers of the mass “ …two of the girls had sunglasses on…smiling.

NOT saying anything was wrong !
Just a OBSERVATION !
 
No, you’re not saying anything. Except equating wearing sunglases to ending up picking up garbage (not sure what’s wrong with that… Is there not dignity in all work?)
 
No. I am getting older and my eyes are getting more sensitive. I have to wear sunglasses even in winter. No disrespect intended.
