Wittgenstein, thank you for your response.
To me it appears that you do see major doctrines as non essentials and only as points of debate which are of relitively of minor importance.
You gave an example of the Trinity as of no importance but only charity or love.
I agree with you that charity should be a fundamental tenant, but it dosen’t stop there.
It is difficult to love someone who is a stranger to us. Love is built on knowing them.
Love can exist and grow only if it is based on knowledge of the goodness and kind of person they are.
The Trinity tells us a whole lot. And just to give one example, it tells us how the 2nd Person in God is related to the 1st Person, and the 3rd Person. This also tells us a good deal about Jesus and his relationship with us. It also makes sense of the Bible when it refers to the Divine Persons.
The more we know about God and ourselves in the divine plan, then the more we are able to love each other and appreciate our loving God.
One other thing we cannot ignore is that truth only has one side, the correct side.
When a person of faith believes in some error, it could well be that his eternal destination may be affected by living this error. And so it is important that these errors be corrected, so that as an act of charity, the person might be better for it.
I know that in your good will you want everyone to enjoy peace with one another. But if we truely care, we will share not only peace but goodness that truth brings.
Just some thoughts.

Our Faith isn’t based on feelings, fortunately. Objective truth is a wonderful thing that doesn’t wait for you to “feel good” before you can experience something. Even on a bad day, we know and believe in miracles because they can be experienced even in the midst of darkness; therein lies our greatest peace.Here is a great video that reveals the difference between knowing about (believing it’s a miracle) and experiencing a miracle!
