Supporting a Protestant Seminarian

Recently I met a Catholic man at my wife’s parish, whose stepson (a cradle Episcopalian like me) wants to serve as a priest in the Episcopal Church. The man plans to support his stepson in his education. To what extent may he, as a Catholic, do this? Is there a teaching about this?

No teaching against him helping his stepson’s education nor against supporting him as an Episcopal priest. After all, the young man wishes to serve God and do good–there’s no harm in that!

I don’t know of any teaching, but in my opinion its questionable. The Episcopal Church is in schism, despite the young man’s good intention. This would be a good question to ask an apologist on here.
