Surgery prayers needed

All,

My stepfather’s mother (who lives with my parents) is going to have surgery tomorrow. Her intestines have scar tissue (this will be the 2nd surgery) and are now all twisted up. She has suffered from several bowl impactions as a result.

The surgery in and of itself is not that bad, but the doctor said she may have to be on a respirator the rest of her life.

That’s all I know right now, but we need all the prayers we can get.

Jesus please ensure that the surgery relieves the problems far more than may be feared. Please grant that it helps to relieve pain and discomfort, and prevents recurrence of bowel impactions. Let Your love and light surround and bless Juli and all her relatives by blood and by marriage.

Praying that your step-father’s mother is well enough not to need a respirator for the rest of her life. May she keep strong by praying and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, and be totally surrendered to his merciful love. Amen.
