Hi all

Have a disk in my neck that is going to require surgery next week (ACDF) I’m a little nervous although 99.8 percent of these operations come out fine there is still a risk such as stroke, death, infection and ever being paralyzed…

I ask that you pray for me that my operation on the 20th will go without major problems and that the doctor can at long last ease my discomfort

Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around me. Merciful Lord please guide phantom’s surgeon to a faultless operations and a successful outcome. Please give phantom peace and rest before this serious operation.
Bless the medical care that phantom receives so that it promotes full and rapid recovery.

I understand how you feel having had a goitre in my neck three years ago, and in the Operating Theatre for four hours, there is risk in every operation, so prepare yourself before hand, go to Confession, if you know a priest get him to give you a personal blessing over you for a safe operation, I will keep you in my prayers for the 2Oth have put it in my Diary to say a prayer for you, needless to say don’t forget to throw the Lord a big Kiss ( which I did) when I went in to do a Holy Hour in special thanksgiving. Put your Trust in the Lord, and as your going down to the Theatre put your hand in the Lord’s - in your mind saying , Lord I put my Trust in YOU.

Make skilled the work of the surgeon and that of his team for it is unto their knowledge and skill that I give myself for healing.
