All I can say is I am glad I don’t have to worry about good looking vs ugly…old vs young…fat vs skinny…As I am a combo of all of them…you can guess which ones

Maybe when we are young this is somewhat true, but as we get older, we are more interested in finding someone compatible with what we are looking for in a man than someone who will fit the profile of what our girlfriends find “hot.” Any woman who is stuck in the “what will my girlfriends think” mode is probably too immature to be a desirable partner in a long-term relationship, anyway…unless she is seeking her girlfriends’ opinions on matter of character rather than superficialities.Women like what other women like.
Huh? Not sure I understand this. Okay, I’ll even venture to say that I’m not bad looking, but this is not how I think.A good looking guy doesn’t always want to be seen with someone as good looking or better than him. She would then be competition for the attention he thinks he deserves.

What about so many good girls ending up in abusive relationships with men who cheat on them, beat them, care nothing? I don’t think men are oblivious to character when picking long-term partners… Or that women care so much for character when looking for company for a night out.Maybe those good looking guys don’t have the character to attract an equally attractive woman. Women are more choosy about character. A good-looking guy is no match for a guy with an awesome personality.

Even then, it’s different when it’s asking advice and when it’s making sure she’s in tune with what her friends think a guy should act like.unless she is seeking her girlfriends’ opinions on matter of character rather than superficialities.
Who says you aren’t attractive? To some guys you certainly are. Different people go for different things.lol so THAT’S why I’m single!!! Oh man, there are definitely times when I despise going to a university with such attractive girls!!! It means the non-attractive people like me get left out!
Hear, hear! Physical “cute” and “pretty” don’t last very long, so there had better be something in addition to that holding the relationship together.:shrug:What is pretty at 50, 60, 70 or 80! Hello we all age and as nice as it is to be attractive and beautiful it is only a temporary state.
If the man is one of those shallow types, he’ll go looking for someone younger/cuter (a new trophy). Or he’ll nag his wife to death about losing weight/dressing differently, changing hairstyle, etc.If a man marries because someone is pretty what happens when they have babies, get old, or put on a few pounds!![]()
Next they’ll be funding long and expensive studies that conclude when you hit your thumb with a hammer you go “Ow!”I can’t believe they wasted the money and the time to study this!![]()
This is a bit off topic, but you may be on to something…Next they’ll be funding long and expensive studies that conclude when you hit your thumb with a hammer you go “Ow!”
Whoa Nelly! Let’s not forget the dignity that each human being has. Several rungs beneath…I don’t think so.end up with a wife who is several rungs beneath him on the ladder.
I don’t think so either. And like CatholicSam, I can’t believe that research money was spent on this.
I need to find out who funded this. If they’ll fund that, I should have no problem getting extra money for my research.![]()
Yikes. This is a bit off topic, but you may be on to something…

lolz…In other news, it really hurts a lot, if you hit your thumb with a hammer, and hot pots will burn you if you try to pick them up with your bare hands.
(According to a study … )
Yeah, need to make sure it’s statistically significant (do people really feel more pain when they hit their thumbs with hammers as opposed to those who don’t?), and compliant with previously agreed upon methods of measuring pain.lolz…
I need to see the data.![]()
