Surrender?

Greetings!

This question may not fly and I’m not sure how to ask without influencing the answers. So here goes, please feel free to comment on the word surrender. Thank you kindly to those who will respond.

Wow, that’s a power-packed word! Well, what’s needed for surrender to Our Lord to happen in one’s life is humility and obedience. Littleness. You might want to read as much as you can of St. Therese of Lisieux. Then again, St. Francis De Sales wrote a lot about it. If you want, try “Abandonment to Divine Providence” by Fr. De Caussade. Well, that’s for starters, anyway.

Prayer of Abandonment

Father, I abandon myself into Your hands;
do with me what You will.
Whatever You may do, I thank You:
I am ready for all, I accept all.
