Click here to take the survey

This survey accommodates alumni, student, and non- alumni opinions on this topic.

The results will be incorporated into a press release which will be distributed to all the mainstream media outlets, and Notre Dame. Please pass this around far and wide, make sure we get a significant number of responses - already, since this survey went up last night, there are an impressive number of responses.

Help RealCatholicTV keep up the pressure on this issue!!! Don’t let this die a slow news death, like all the neglected aborted babies do every single day.

There is probably a lot of pressure from faculty and students to welcome Obama. Obama
had the support of vast numbers of Catholics during the election. 60 million didn’t vote for him. The problem was a need for an opponent that could win. Obama shouldn’t be wel-
come at any Catholic institution.

I am disgusted. I am prayiing that God will prevent this from happening. This is the result or 40+ years of poor catechesis and disobeience. I am sure that Our Lady feels a sword peircing her heart when things like this happen. Notre Dame, pray for us.

We totally agree, and that is why we are trying very hard to NOT allow the mainstream media bury this story, which they are trying desperately to do.

This week on Wednesday, Michael Voris, ND class of '83, and President of RealCatholicTV.com, when down to South Bend, at the request of FOX News for an interview. He spent at least two hours that morning with the reporter, discussing this scandal on camera, and showing him and and his camera crew around the campus.

He drove back up to the Detroit area and was told that the interview was going to air on the 6pm news. Then, shortly after 6pm he was told it was going to be in a Special Report broadcast online, so we all went to our computers and logged onto the Fox website. Well, they talked about the scandal, but only with a panel of four guys who gave all completely wrong comments about the University and the Church. The reporter who interviewed Mike only spoke for about 30 seconds live from in front of the dome.

That’s it. Nothing. No interview aired. And when he called to find out what happened to the story, he was told by a producer at Fox that someone decided that it was “yesterday’s news” and they were not going to cover it again.

Now - it’s not a big deal that he drove down there and went to the trouble, we couldn’t care less about that. It is the point that the mainstream media will take every opportunity to stop the REAL Catholic perspective from getting out. And this was no major corporate decision - just one guy in a booth somewhere making a snap decision on what gets on the air and what doesn’t. But look at the impact that has when it is repeated millions of times across this country on every major network.

I know it’s getting old - we live in a soundbite culture where we get tired of something if we have to hear it for more than 15 seconds. But please PLEASE - help us keep up the heat on this story!! Sign the online petitions! Fill out the survey! Write letters to Notre Dame if you have not done so already! Do NOT let this die the death the media wants it to - KEEP THIS IN THEIR FACE!!

Thanks to all of those who have gone to the site in the OP so far and signed up and taken the survey. If you have not done that yet, please do, it will only take a few minutes. 😃

I feel just about like I did when he was elected with the help of 54% of self described catholics…betrayed.🤷

We need to stand up for the Truth of Jesus Christ.

The Truth that Jesus died for and that millions of martyrs have died for!

The weak, self-serving nominal Christians who want to claim the glory of the title “Catholic” must be rebuked!!

THEY ARE NOT CATHOLIC AND JESUS IS SURELY ASHAMED OF THEIR ACTIONS!!!

You are not Catholic if you despise Jesus and support the MURDER OF INNOCENT BABIES BY THEIR OWN MOTHERS!

I am a totally unworthy, weak sinner, but I do not deny the Truth of Jesus Christ. I may fail daily, but I do not deny the teaching of Jesus through His Catholic Church.

Debate is a nice privileged that our society gives us, but when we account for our lives, we must all answer for our actions.

It is impossible to honestly argue that murdering innocent babies by their own mothers can be justified for any reason. Not for the “health of the mother”, not for “reproductive rights”, whatever that is?, not for “privacy”… or any other reason!

MURDER IS MURDER, PERIOD, AND IT IS ALWAYS WRONG!!

I support my pastor and bishop:

diocesefwsb.org/COMMUNICATIONS/statements.htm

The message is entirely consistent with Bishop D’Arcy’s preaching every year at our Red Mass based in large part on the life of Saint Thomas More. We are to respect our political leaders, but never renounce the truth to do so.

The destruction of innocent human life is entirely inconsistent with mission of serving the common good. I cannot understand how any Catholic priest or academic or politician could fail to see that.

All Catholics need to know that this is an act of public disobedience:

catholicexchange.com/2009/03/27/117065/

I am encouraged to know that there will be peaceful, spirit-filled protests of this action. That after 40 years of being gradually poisoned by the secular world, Catholics may be heartened that out sheperds in the Church will lovingly and with a spirit of professing the truth, speak in opposition to this event. As Al Kresta said on Catholic Radio, this may be a turning point for Catholics in America. I pray that it is.

Pray for President Obama.

Peace,
Ed

“Obama had the support of vast numbers of Catholics during the election” because “vast” numbers of “Catholics” have listened to the despicable secular lies and brainwashing propaganda spewed out 24/7 over the last 40+ years.

Sadly, they are totally misinformed and apparently too lazy and too gutless to refute the horrible Truth that **abortion is murder!
**
Horrible people who are pushing the agenda of death for BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PROFIT have preyed upon the well-meaning but sadly misguided “Catholics” who throw aside the Church’s teaching that tells us;

"**Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:
Code:
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.

God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes." (CCC 2271)".**
Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. “A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae,” “by the very commission of the offense,” and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law. The Church does not thereby intend to restrict the scope of mercy. Rather, she makes clear the gravity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm done to the innocent who is put to death, as well as to the parents and the whole of society” (CCC 2272).

If only more “Catholics” would listen to the Truth of Jesus Christ and read Sacred Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church!

It’s a free country (so free that slavery was once legal and today murdering innocent babies is still legal??)

If they can, in good conscience, disagree with Church teaching, groups like “Catholics for Choice” (that’s like calling yourselves Jews for Auschwitz Death Camp Oven Operators???) and people like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Catherine Sebelius, Ted Kennedy, etc…, should renounce their faith publicly and declare that they are not Catholic. They are really nominal Christians who want to decide for themselves, in direct opposition to the Catholic Church, what constitutes a “grave offense”, ie. what is right and what is wrong (I thought that was God’s job?)

The Church has made it clear that the right to life is the primordial right, without which, all other rights are rendered useless.

Social Justice, peace, ending hunger and oppression are all important, but without the right to life, they are reduced to vain pursuits!

If a mother and father can legally murder their own innocent baby, then we have truly lost our way!!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

The president should never have been invited. Notre Dame is in grave error as an institution and should have all references to anything Catholic sued from it’s use. So much for “Catholic” higher education.
