Yes I think it is quite good. We have a membership, so we’ve seen it several time. They have Lego castles modeled after real castles and a Lifesize Knight and Dragon, made out of Lego’s. They even have a wall portrait of a king and queen made of Lego’s.I have been thinking of going and seeing the lego display at the Children’s Museum, is it really that good?
I agree with you.As a LEGO artist, I can say that the statue could have been done MUCH better… as for the placement of it in a place of worship, I find that a little off-color. And the motivations for its placement seem a little too apparent, otherwise, there probably wouldn’t be a news article about it and we wouldn’t be discussing it.
Obviously I see LEGO as a valid artistic medium, and many people are starting to see that too. I’ve even made several Catholic creations. However, LEGO art still contains a great amount of novelty that would take away from the reverence due to a place of worship.
