What kind of swim suits?
For Target, Kohl’s, or JCPenney’s catalog? Or for “Frederick in Hollywood”?
Somebody’s got to model the swimwear, so customers can see what they look like… just as someone has to model shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, etc…
Not all women’s swim suits are composed of three tiny triangles attached with rubber bands… modest, acceptable swimwear does exist; in our park district’s pool, those “cheeky” swim suits are prohibited outright. And (maybe surprisingly) most of the girls/women in the pool wear swim suits that are pretty tame, from a “designer’s” point of view.
Our own daughter, a champion swimmer in the Special Olympics, wears her “swim team’s suit” which is an open-back single-piece black suit. Nothing is overly revealing about the suit, and all the girls seem to be happy with them. The coaches chose the team suits, so that the girls would be able to perform their strokes without being hampered by the fit.
