This is not surprising, given the bellicosity of the rhetoric aimed at these 2 countries by the U.S. I honestly think our policy makers have gone mad. If our objective in that part of the world is to reduce the threat of anti-American terrorism, then we are doing precisely the opposite of that which we should be doing. Do we want to aid the pro-democracy activists in Iran? Then instead of threatening Iran, we should be engaged in diploamcy. Nothing will bolster the power of the mullahs more than threats from “The Great Satan”
