I saw a reference to Mar Philoxenus’ writings in another thread and I figured I would post some links to some books that can be obtained in print that specifically deal with the Syrian saints, both east and west. These links do contain some writings that are more modern though of the Church of the East and of the Syrian Orthodox.
This first one is Oriental Orthodox so it contains writings of Cyril of Alexandria as well as those of Philoxenus of Mabbough and Severus of Antioch and Symeon the Stylite and etc.

This one is Church of the East so it contains liturgical books as well as the writings of Narsai(some with the English translation) and Isho’dad of Merv and Isaac of Nineveh.

This one has some pretty expensive books but it is very good because it is beginning to translate a lot of Syriac authors. It has some John of Dalyatha and if you are interested in later Syrian saints it also has some Bar Hebraeus.
