Tabernacle Location in your parish

Is it in a chapel? Is it front and center where people can see it (where I believe it should be)? Is it in a different location of the church?

The parish I normally attend Mass, it is in the back near the chapel. My parents church, it is in a small chapel away from the sanctuary. Both churches that I’ve attended EF Masses at, you can see the tabernacle in the distance when you enter & it is in plain view for all. One church that I went to that offers perpetual adoration has a chapel with a monstrance in it for adoration, but the tabernacle is in view of the congregation near the altar.
 
The tabernacle at my parish is in the front but off to the side. It could be worse but it would be nice if we had a little more symetry.😉
 
At both the churches I attend, there is a tabernacle on the main altar, but the tabernacle in which the Eucharist is kept between Masses is at a side altar. About ten years ago, a couple of churches were vandalized and the center tabernacle was pried open, and the Eucharist was removed by the vandals. I think, if memory serves me correctly, there was a directive from the diocese to move the “reserved” tabernacle from a front-and-center position, since that would most likely be where vandals would first head. Since most of the churches have three altars, it seems like the idea was that if vandals got in, moving the Eucharist might give people in the rectory a little time to realize something was wrong and go investigate.

Current church, directly to the viewer’s right of the altar-- but it’s a very small church, more like a chapel-size, and there’s not a lot of room to work with.

My parents’ parish, off to the left on a side altar but in full prominent view of everyone. Same set up in a nearby parish where I sometimes go for Confession.

At the parish near my office, it’s in the back which makes it weird since you have to turn your back to the altar, genuflect, turn back around and then enter the pew. 🤷
 
It’s directly at the front of the church in the center cut off by two communion rails and statues of adoring angels around it.
 
After a recent (2000-01) renewal of our church, we have a separated chapel, visible from the main part of the church, with a large tabernacle (about 12 feet high) made from an organ case and side altar marble removed in the renewal.
 
At my neo-Gothic church, the tabernacle is located centrally on the high altar with a crucifix above it and three candlesticks on each side. It also has this odd curtain thing in front of it.
 
Behind the altar, which considering how modern the building is it’s a pleasant surprise. 😃

At our Cathedral, where I also attend Mass occaisionally, it is in a side chapel to the left of the sanctuary.
 
It is in the Sanctuary, but off to the left. It had a kneeling cushion somehow built into the Sanctuary floor for people praying. It is a beautiful tabernacle…it looks like the arc of the covenant it is on a marble pedestal that matches the Altar with flowers on the floor and the Lamp is hanging above it. Though the beauty of the tabernacle cannot compare with what is inside it. To the left of the Tabernacle outside the sanctuary is the Statue of Our Lady…the only Marian statue in a Church devoted to her…but the stained glass does show the Marian Dogmas…and that makes me happy. On the inside of the tabernacle are carved jerusalem crosses.
 
In the chapel where we have weekday masses, the tabernacle is right behind the altar. In the main church it is in it’s own chapel at the front of the church. There is a large art glass window with a chalice and a host on it and you can see the tabernacle and the red candle through the glass.
 
In a side chapel, but at least visible to the whole church. Would prefer front and center, though.
 
Like others, there is more than one tabernacle on our church property. But the main tabernacle in the sanctuary is up on the altar dias.
 
In my parish, It’s in a little chapel to the left of the Altar.

Most churches here in San Francisco (like most buildings) are very old. I’ve never been inside an SF parish without a high altar and a prominent tabernacle front and center.
 
The tabernacle in my church is at the front and central. My parish church was built in 1957, with a large, wooden portable altar that was close to, but not against, the back wall, with the tabernacle on the altar. When the altar was moved out in the late 1960’s, the altar was moved forward and the Pastor wanted to keep the tabernacle central. But to do this, he had to move the cruxcifix somehow. So instead of having the crucifix hanging vertically against the back wall, he hung it at an angle over the altar. Bit of an unusual arrangement, but it keeps, altar, crucifix and taberenacle all central.
