Is there a connection between tabniyth (Exodus 25: 40) and *oikonomia (Ephesians 1: 10)?

*Thanks!

The word used in the Septuagint’s Exodus 25:40 is τυπον:

ορα ποιησεις κατα τον τυπον τον δεδειγμενον σοι εν τω ορει

The same word, τυπον, is used again in Hebrews 8:5 when citing to Exodus.

So there doesn’t appear to be a literal correspondence to οἰκονομία.

Flattery will get you everywhere, Mr. Baur. I’m happy to be able to assist.

Sounds like you’re researching an interesting topic. May I ask what brought this question up?

Well, I have often wondered if Exodus 25: 40 translated into Greek as type. You confirmed my hopes and my intuitions.

The heavenly realities that Moses represents in the Tent and all of the “services” are spoken of by Paul, as you pointed out in Hebrews 8: 5.

Your posts hit the nail on the head.

Furthermore, economy is a plan and so too with “tabniyth.” The house hold plan is, in my judgment, LOVE. From Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus are all one covenant of love. The laws of the covenant are LOVE.

I have written quickly and I must go.

If I made some sense, thank God.

If not, I will try again later.

Again, and I mean it, you are an absolute saint.

Sounds intriguing! I was able to find οἰκονομία twice, in Isaiah, 22:19 and 22:21:

Hope that helps!

I have often pondered the relationship of these three abniyth, dĕmuwth, and tselem.

Also what is the connection between Exodus 25: 40 and Hebrews 8: 5.

You gave me the connection*.*

Again, thanks!
