Take back what you promised

Hi!

Last month (if i’m not mistaken) I have made a promise to God and I realized I can’t do it, can I take back what I said?

When you were a little child, did you ever promise your daddy “I am going to give you all of my toys and live with you forever!!”

Your dad did not hold you to that promise.

Even moreso, God knows when his children make promises they cannot keep.

Seriously though, be careful of promises and vows. Most people enter into these way too lightly.
Speak to your priest…he’ll give you good advice.
