good luck on your search for the right Church. I’m glad i don’t have to search anymore… I did all that about 15 yrs ago… even though was raised Catholic…i fell away from the RCC and went amok… out of ignorance… never renounced the RCC faith but never lived by it either, except “my way” which wasn’t too “Catholic”… :eek: not to mention too smart…

i didn’t know the Catholic faith well until about 15 yrs ago… when i had to study it myself… Thank God i did… (although for some reason i always felt birth control & other things] were very wrong…)

it is good to question if you don’t know things… but i remember all the questions i had… and all tht searching &… and i am glad it’s over…

I wasn’t raised in a faith so I have to see if I can find one.

He’s still a Christian, or at least he says he is, but he hasn’t been religious since he got elected. He doesn’t attend church anymore.

For twenty years he attended a Christian church (every Sunday) but during the election he made the decision to leave the church and renounce his affiliation with it. He was baptized when he was a young lawyer so he’s a legitimate Christian. He says he’s still a Christian in faith and that he’s just looking for the right church.

Last I heard, he wasn’t attending any churches because he felt his high profile would distract church members. (Like I guess he’s more distracting than any other president in history:().

Yeah, I don’t know why he isn’t attending any churches. But you know, some Christians prefer to have a quiet faith. A personal faith in Jesus but no organized religion.

They aren’t…except that it is possible to be religious without having a relationship with Christ (that is, if one is Christian) but I don’t think it is possible to have a relationship with Christ without being religious.

very good point…

i know someone who seems to be religious without being close to Christ… i don’t like to judge but the Bible says you will know them by their fruits… To me, the indication that someone knows Jesus and has an intimate relationship with HIm is whether that person “evolves”… If a person’s behavior is always the same old same old… (and not very “good”) something is not right…

but then, in a way we all resist change…

Even so, those who really love Jesus will draw closer to Him every day and when tht happens… we can’t help but see change… of some kind or other… for the better… 🙂

although… now that i think about it… some people think that the good ways in which you change… are really bad ways…

for example… i tend to spend more time with God thn with … certain people… so some people probably think this is being a snob… but… for one thing, the Bible says to not be unequally yoked with unbelivers… I have lots of unbelivers in my life… whether they call themselves that or not… and that may sound judmental but i have to make decisions as to what is best for me…

anyway… I’m starting to go on and on so will leave it at that… 🙂
