I’m surprised I scored 100% for Orthodox/Catholic. I know there are some answers I offered on some of the “biggies” that go against the official teaching of the Church.

Nothing surprising here except for maybe the SDA estimation. The order seems a bit odd too. It almost seems like the Conservative/Liberal spectrum is oscillating here! #3 = conservative, #4 = more liberal than conservative, #5 = more conservative than liberal, #6 = liberal, #7 = as conservative as one could ever be, #8 = as liberal as one could ever be!

The following is quite odd! How is it that I’m more likely to be a Hindu (polytheist) rather than a Mormon (non-trinitarian henotheist) but in turn more likely to be a Muslims (monotheist) than a JW who has almost an identical view of God as the Mormons? Mind you, the only questions to which I said the issue was “very important” were the questions about the nature of God and using prayer at the exclusion of medicine for physical treatment. Everything else was either neutral or low.

Also, the very first question was worded poorly (in my personal opinion).

I was raised Mormon but am a Catholic convert so when I saw “corporeal deity” I felt split.

I was thinking to myself “Well, do they mean God the Father is corporeal as Mormons believe? Or do they mean God the Son is corporeal as both Mormons and Catholics believe? Then again, Jesus isn’t exactly “God” in Mormonism in the same sense as he’s “God” in Catholicism!”

Fun questionnaire nonetheless.

what i dislike most about non-Catholic religons is they don’t like Catholics…

they say its just the Church they don’t like but it seems they really just don’t like US…

or do i just take things too personally…? yes, i probably do…

actually what bothers me more than that is that some non-Catholics don’t even seem the least bit interested in studying what claims to be (is) the original Christian Church…

I’m just not where they are… i tell myself… and yet… how cn a Christian not be interested in their Lord’s history (in the world)???

Well I have some SDA friends - they do not “hate” catholics and actually many SDA’s have respect for my faith … they are really fairly mainstream in much of their beliefs … the Trinity … and share many common ideas with evengelicals / non-denominationals … Their Communion is like our Holy Thursday Service and is celebrated 4 times a year.

They do have dietary rules and the Sabbath, the un - awareness of those that have died …

Now the JW’s share very little with the SDA’s even though they broke away from the SDA’s …

they have little in common except the Saturday thing IMHO -though I am not an expert on eithe one … the JW’s come around often … trying to get my mom to Join Up … Their literature is AWFUL - ANTI_CATHOLIC DIATRIBES mostly … they have not been back recently though … maybe it was something I said :confused:
 
I redid the quiz today focusing a lot on the priority part (High Medium and low) and came up with–

I do not believe the RCC is the Chruch Christ established on Earth… I KNOW it is…

That’s powerful. Thank you for sharing. You made my day a little brighter.

There is nothing like daily mass. I go early in the morning. It is so intimate. In the summer, it’s hot and sticky outside. I come into church and it is cool and dark. The marble floors are cool to me feet. I smell the candles and the incense. In the winters it’s freezing outside. I enter the warm womb of the church, I smell the candles and incense.
The church is heated through the floor, it is warm to my feet. We are a small group, we share a special closeness in those early morning hours. When one is missing, we all fell that hole.

well if a “piece of bread” as you crassly call the Host can create that kind of Presence… a presence of absolute holiness… and etc… (don’t want to cheapen it by putting inadequate words to it…:dts: )

I say i will worship that “little piece of Bread” for all my life…

I find it sort of funny odd that my top 6 are so close. Guess it just goes to show that religions do have a lot of similarities to them.
