Thanks; I got that part, but if I remember correctly, there were only a couple of questions on “social justice”. There must be something else to push it to the top 3. Maybe I’m wrong, though. I didn’t go back and look at the test.

Maybe there were some questions that didn’t strike you as being social justice questions, they many have simply seemed like “well, that’s what Christians do” questions but they were looked at as social justice questions by the scorer. Maybe the few social justice questions there were, you weighted heavily (important, moderate, unimportant). I don’t know, I’m just guessing.

PS: Your summation of Mormonism is incorrect.

The LDS do indeed believe Jesus Christ is the Savior. They might put a larger emphasis on the “Agony in the Garden” than traditional Christianity, but it doesn’t diminish any bit of their belief in the sacrifice paid at Calvary.

Your juxtaposition of “Joseph Smith” with your paragraph about LDS belief in a savior imply that they believe Joseph Smith is the Savior. This isn’t true either. Joseph Smith is merely a prophet in Mormonism.

One interesting thing I noticed about these results: If you fall in the Catholic, Orthodox or Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant category, you only have about 50% of belief in common with Mormons, about the same as with Islam. This supports what I have long said, that Mormonism is not a Christian faith any more than Islam is.

Jesus is still corporeal. He didn’t lose his body after he ascended into heaven.
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. (Col. 2:9)

I had problems with the way the question was worded. Then I thought about a post I read somewhere on these threads that GOD really died on the cross. And of course Theodokus, Mary is the other of GOD.
 
I thought I copied my results, but apparently didn’t, and of course already closed the window, but my top were Orthodox Quaker and Roman Catholic, with something else in between (conservative protestant maybe?). I’m not surprised in the least, all things considered. 🙂 Good quiz, I liked it.
 
I always thought that Seventh Day Adventsists were very similar to other Conservative Protestants. I know the few differences…but apparently they are more different than I thought?

From my results:

Of course, the fact that the name of the church is “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” not “The church of Joseph Smith” might give someone a clue as to Who is at the base of our beliefs.

(shrug) I have no idea why I wrote this, except that it’s good typing practice. “Distracted” will use it as proof that…well, whatever it is he thinks we really believe.

if the LDS believed in Jesus, they would believe in everything He said. He said he was God (“IF you have seen the Father you have seen Me” etc…) yet yoiu don’t believe he is God (divine)… just a prophet…

if he was just a prophet, then He lied… and Jesus is Truth Incarnate…

Why do you need Joseph Smith and his wacky ideas when you have Jesus and the Apostles ?? They KNEW JEsus when he walked the earth… Joseph Smith didn’t visit Earth until the 1800s…

like all non-Catholic religions, LDS is man-made…

for 1521 years there was only ONE Christian Chruch in the world…
