Distracted, you are truly living up to your name, m’friend…and to my prediction of what you would say, come to think of it. What part of 'we believe that Jesus is the Savior" did you miss?

We do NOT believe that Jesus was ‘just a prophet.’ Not in any way, shape or form. We believe that He is the Only Begotten Son of God the Father, the Messiah, the Savior, the second member of the Godhead, fully God. He is not a prophet. He CALLS prophets. I truly believe you have us confused with some other group, but I don’t really know any group that claims to be Christian that believes He was 'just a prophet."

Ok, and? Don’t you think that God could call a prophet any time He wants to? It’s not like He didn’t do it after Jesus’ death and resurrection, y’know. Paul did not know Christ in the flesh, but received direct revelation from Christ. That is, by the way, what defines the word ‘prophet:’ someone who received direct revelation from God.

Actually, there have always been dissenting opinions out there, and dissenting groups. Those dissenting groups were rather roughly handled. Either that, or they won and then they handled the losers roughly. Whatever–the winners write the history.

Come to think of it, Luther’s people were rather roughly handled, as well. Problem is, that when Luther came along the printing press was available, and the politics of the world was such that the dissension became too wide spread (and too convenient for certain nations) for the church to adequately clobber it.

I am one mydelf, but I like to have some people who are not. That way we get some opinons from all types of people. Because, getting 20 Catholic responces
(with the ocassional protestant) can get a little old.

I think that just happens in this forum seeings how this is a Catholic web-site and even though the forum says non-catholic religions we Catholics are not banned from it. So you are going to get Catholic (name removed by moderator)ut. I enjoy hearing from non-catholic religious that’s why I come here. And thought it would fun to do the quiz. I think we got a good showing of non-catholic religious here considering it’s a Catholic web-site. Probably the only way you’ll get a lot more protestant reaction is if one offers the quiz in a protestant forum.

How did I end up with a 100% in Mormonism? …huh. I think it’s because I put “None of the Above” for a couple of the more awkwardly worded questions. Like the first one where it made me choose between: God who has no physical form, and God who does have a physical form… It’s kinda both, you know? Jesus has a body but God the Father and the Holy Spirit don’t, so it wouldn’t be correct to say “God” in general has a body, but it wouldn’t be correct to say He doesn’t either since that would exclude Jesus. They really should have put another option in.
