Take up our cross DAILY?

I absolutely LOVE that verse. That verse kept rattling around in my head for years. I simply couldn’t get it OUT!

No matter who I went to ( as a Protestant I’m speaking) no one could explain it without going into gymnastics.

That verse is what got me searching again and again until I got here. FINALLY I had rest!

I praise God for that verse - because to me it means you have to DO something if you are to truly follow Him. It is NOT just Faith. There is action involved; denial of self, picking up YOUR cross, following in the footsteps of our Redeemer and so suffering with Him.

How is that compatible with “just believe and you’re good to go!”?

Thanks for sharing… It does seem quite obvious that God wants us to do our part to make his plan of salvation work for each of us… He set up a pretty good system, all we have to do is follow it.
