Anyone ever feel like they need a break from CAF? Especially the Traditional and Liturgy and Sacraments forums? Just wondering y’all.

Yes, but I keep coming back, because of the groups that I lead and prayer intentions. And I have only been on here short of three monthes. So who’s to tell how I am going to feel in another three monthes?

God bless.

I think it gets boring to constantly talk about EF vs OF, Pre-Vatican II versus Post Vatican II, liturgical abuse, COTT vs. CITH and of course the SSPX.

I think if we focus on other things that can help us grow in our spiritual lives, it would be better.

Well, I’ve finally gotten myself not to come to CAF during work hours 👍

Thats a start 😃

Wouldn’t it be funny if you were to find out later that one of the posters you were arguing with here is your boss? 🙂
Considering I was laid off at that job, I would suspect it was you!!!

Just kidding :D:D:D:D

Although my boss did say he was a theology graduate.

Sorry to hear that.
Don’t worry about it, that was months ago. It was God’s gift. I actually was starting to hate that job and maybe that is why I prefer to hang out on internet forums than work. I was actually looking for another job for quite some time but couldn’t find one while I was at that job. God needed to give me a good strong nudge to go and find the job that He wants me to get. And so now I have it 👍
One degree I don’t have so it wasn’t I. 🙂
Nah, I’m pretty sure you weren’t my boss. He’s as from from a traditional Catholic as one can be 😉

I have learned a great deal on this site but lately I feel I should do some Scripture reading or look over the Roman Catechism instead.

Yeah, sometimes its just the same conversation all over again and again and again.

Do you read on a 1-yr cycle or 3-yr cycle? 🙂 Very important, you know.
I’m not rben, but I read on a one year cycle, but in addition, I usually pick a book a month on which I do in depth study as well.

Out of curiosity, how do you decide on a book? You read in order or just open the hardcover at random?

I do the “Lord, guide me to what you want me to read” thing.

Or sometimes I might find something I’m reading in the one year cycle reading newly interesting and choose that book to explore further.

I say newly interesting because I might have read a book a zillion times and on the zillion and one time, I see something I never saw before.

of course
that is why there is a bell during boxing matches so the opponents can move to neutral corners to rest and prepare for the next round:slapfight:
